Evening Circle
The End Ritual of Our Day
We open with a poem to wind down our day. It is called The House-Sitter, written by me, but inspired by a poem written by the spiritual poet Hafiz. (His version didn't rhyme, so I wrote my own along the same lines.)

The House-Sitter
By Llana Grossman, copyright March 2008 all rights reserved.

I buy something from a shop each day,
Pulling cash and a sun from my pocket to pay.

At night my pet runs in a meadow of sky,
The Moon loves being taken out to fly.

If I whistled she would turn her head to see,
Then run back wagging a tail of stars at me.

You'll find there are some people like me about.
We who house-sit for God when He is out.

Each day I give His favorite potted plant a water,
The Earth, home to His every son and daughter.

Next is nursery rhymes written for a children's book I have self published. Use hand and body movement as often as possible.    The following material is the property of Llana Grossman copyright 2008 all rights reserved.

Old Wizard's Glasses

Here's Old Wizard's glasses,
Here's Old Wizard's hat.
Here is how he folds his hands,
And rests them on his lap

I See The Moon Magic

I see the moon,
And the moon sees me.
The moon sees the somebody I'd like to see.
I look into the moon,
Moon looks into me.
Moon shows me the somebody I'd like to see!

We close with the song Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, then Starlight Starbright, and finally end with a bedtime story. One of our favorites is Goodnight Moon.
